Beyond the Veil

Jean Bowen

I am a therapist who works and lives in west Cork Ireland. I have been working in the healing arts for many years offering Hawaiian bodywork, Shamanic Healing and various Energy therapies. I offer Cacao and breathwork Circles to women. My intention is always to work within a sacred space and create that for each client to allow a deep exploration into themselves and the reflections of themselves in the world that they are processing at any given moment.  My journey into Artwork is inspired by the reemergence of the wisdom teachings of the Divine feminine and the healing of this aspect within ourselves and on a planetary level. Connecting with the Divine feminine energy each painting holds a different aspect of her mystery magic and guidance in close relation to the elements and nature.

I never know what is going to come through and as a result I have developed a  skill of deep listening and patience allowing it to communicate its message. I set an intention and connect to the Canvas through chant or meditation feeling my way.  It brings up the usual frustrations when I get blocked or don’t know what comes next but learning to trust and go with the flow results in a finished piece. Each has its own message and Wisdom teachings. As my art teacher thought me I always set the intention that my art is medicine for me first, and also healing for anyone who observes and feels into it, receiving their own message. I see these goddesses in my journey work and work with them to bridge the gap between ordinary and non ordinary reality.

It is my hope that they also create this communication with others who choose to work with them in this way or simply be held by their energy allowing the remembrance of their teachings to illuminate the way.

Our Land

Imbas

My name is Alasdair McBroom and I’m from the east coast of Northern Ireland. I’ve been taking pictures since the age of fourteen and working as a professional image maker since the age of eighteen. During that time I have worked across pretty much every discipline within lens oriented media and won awards for photography and cinematography.

The recurring theme has always been the same – simplicity within the frame. No matter where I am in life I always come back to photography as a place to centre myself. It is both challenging and calming at the same time. But one thing remains. I am always drawn by the grace of the natural environment.

The Irish Gardener

Tallamh

Peter Dowdall

All my life I have been interested in and worked in gardens, gardening, landscaping and garden design in Ireland and the UK.

I present on RTE and TV3 television and on radio in Ireland and I am also the Garden Design and Gardening columnist for the Irish Examiner newspaper along with being a regular Features writer for The Irish Garden magazine.

I am passionate about gardens, gardening, landscaping and plants and I have hopefully managed to share my enthusiasm with many others and helped a few budding gardeners along the way.

I fervently believe that the garden offers us the solutions to nearly all of our modern day problems:

  • Our mental health benefits from just being outside in the Great Outdoors.
  • Our physical health is improved by the aerobic workout which a day gardening will provide and also by eating the fresh organic produce from the garden.
  • And the garden has  critical roles to play in counteracting the effects of climate change and slowing the rate of species extinction

I often recommend environmentally sound, sustainable and organic gardening products and plants in the media and am then faced with a slew of questions regarding where can people get them and this is what prompted me to set up this store.

Here, I can offer for sale plants and products which I like to use in my own garden and in gardens of clients for whom I am working. These are what you’ll find in my garden shed so to speak.

I don’t have a garden centre or retail business as such, and this is a new departure for me so please bear with me if we run into any teething problems.

In the real world I work as a garden designer and consultant:

Any garden project needs to start with a good garden design, and for that design to be properly implemented, the correct landscaper needs to be identified and the entire project managed so that the garden design becomes the landscape creation which is envisioned.

With my designs I aim to create aesthetically beautiful, usable, practical outdoor spaces. Each client and each home or business will always have a style of their own and I like to design gardens which compliment that style be that a contemporary garden design or something more traditional in style.

Maintaining and enhancing biodiversity is one of the challenges facing everyone at the moment and I feel responsible for creating gardens which will do just that.

Emily Nayhree Dawson is an artist, street artist and fashion designer from the Dublin Mountains. She showed her art all over the world for many years and more recently put her art on to fashion. Emily’s art was always deep rooted in Irelands ancestral history and she spends much of her time at Ériú’s sacred sites. She also has a collection of poetry and rap music that offers a social commentary on Ireland’s past and present. Emily spent time in the protest camps and squatting NAMA buildings and turning them into art galleries and social/cultural centres. Her main interests are gardening, spirituality and simple living.

Ekeko

Imbas

Ekeko crafts was born from the desire to provide alternative fashion for wild and free souls! Comfortable and functional music festival clothing, tribal jewelry, accessories and utility belts with sacred geometry designs in a pixie gypsy style. Radical Burning Man fashion, natural fabrics perfect for yoga, dance, flow arts and fire performance, psytrance parties, EDM events, and expressing your bohemian soul with style!

Ekeko crafts was conceived in Australia, unbeknownst to itself, a little like an unplanned pregnancy.

Inspire Your Body began first, and could be called ekeko’s mother. The Inspire Your Body stall was found at markets and festivals around Byron Bay and supplied a range of organic and sustainable funky clothing. During this journey, the seeds of inspiration were sprouted to create our own designs and many new ideas were born.

The time came to leave Australia and return to Ireland, the home land. The journey back was long so was broken up with some travels in Asia. This is where we built relationships with wonderful tailors and jewelers who could manifest the design ideas into reality. Here we worked on creating prototype samples and experimented with different fabrics and materials.

Finally the designs were produced and made the long journey across the seas to Ireland, where they were featured exclusively at markets and festivals for the first few years.

We first launched our product range online on Etsy in 2015, and launched our own website in 2017. We are now delighted to be able to reach all those wild spirited folk who rock our designs far across the globe, and feel so grateful for the continued support from our happy customers!

Native Circles Art

Imbas

Native Circles are a set of simple illustrations that create space for nature connection and self reflection in our living space.

Native Circles are now available as Limited Edition prints on paper and as prints mounted onto birchwood with a specially designed stand that can be placed on a table or hung on the wall.

Slow down to check in on the moon phases or reflect on the seasonal changes around you. These cycles can offer us perspective, flow and a sense of grounding in the world around us.

Think of them as a field guide to a simpler life more connected with the wonder of the natural world.

Blooming Native

Tallamh

Blooming Native Wildflowers Seeds have been at the heart of my family history since 1859, when my great great great grandfather, William Power, opened his first nursery, florist, and seed merchant’s business in Waterford.

Since then, the Power family business has been centred on quality seed production and continues to operate a successful agricultural seed business.

With a passion for our environment, I want to share how wildflower seeds can play their part in biodiversity and reveal the joy of Native Wildflowers in our ecosystem. I am grateful to be able to harness my family expertise in seed and continue this tradition as a new and sixth generation of the Power family.

William Power & Co florist Waterford

Sowing wildflower seeds will provide a habitat for pollinators, seeds for wild birds, support biodiversity, promote our wellbeing and bring us joy. Blooming Native mixes can be used anywhere, whether it be your garden or the greater countryside.

Native Wildflower seeds will reward in so many ways.

Give it a go!

Anamcara Books

Eolas Ársa

In Celtic Christianity, an Anamchara is a soul friend, a companion and mentor (often across the miles and the years) in life’s long journey through the spiritual realm. Soul friendship is a commitment to both accept and challenge the other; to cut across all divisions to the truth that is found everywhere, in all of life. Following in the footsteps of this ancient heritage, Anamchara Books is committed to creating a community of soul friends who are both authors and readers.

Our mission is to publish books that build bridges:

  • between spiritual perspectives and religious traditions;
  • between the wisdom of the past and the demands of modern life;
  • between ourselves and the Earth;
  • and between ourselves and the Divine.
