Enagh Farrell is an illustrator based in Dublin. She grew up in rural Ireland surrounded by fields, fairy tales and a love for nature and mythology. Enagh studied Fine Art Print in NCAD.

Illustration was a calling as she found she works best with text and visual narrative. Her work explores nature and its magic such as the seasonal changes, trees, stars and indigenous wisdom. Apart from drawing and creating micro texts, Enagh loves to walk in the mountains or any nature space, drinking tea, chatting with friends, learning more about biodiversity, meditation and studying texts from great mystical teachers, wearing wolly jumpers, her allotment, her cat, local community planting projects and being a parent to her two beautiful kids.

Danu’s Irish Herb Garden

Eolas Ársa

Danu’s Irish Herb Garden is a Garden of Healing, Magic, Plant Wisdom and practical living.  Here I work to create a beautiful garden dedicated to the Goddess Danu.  I grow healing herbs, trees, shrubs, flowers, fruits and vegetables organically and attempt to provide for myself and others.

I am a Herbalist, growing and foraging for the plant medicine  that I use to make tinctures, teas, salves and lotions and potions. I only use plants that I have grown or foraged myself so that I know exactly where the medicine comes from.  I believe that plant medicine is a radical way to personal empowerment and health on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.  Working with plants also enables us to connect closely to the Planet, our Mother Earth, en route to good health.

Perhaps you are feeling out of balance or out of sync with the world; you know you need something but you can’t put your finger on it?   You may need stress reliefself-confidence boosts or help with grief. Perhaps you would like to reconnect with the Earth, with Nature? You feel that somehow there should be more to life. Maybe you are suffering with digestive issues such as bloatingacid reflux  or food sensitivities. Do you have sleep issuespain or inflammation, for example arthritis? I can also help with hormonal imbalanceslearning difficulties and many other physical, mental or emotional complaints.

Do get in touch  – I am so looking forward to meeting you and helping you to enjoy radiant health and well-being! I’m here to help you take a first step to feeling truly wonderful, truly connected and truly balanced.

True Harvest Seeds

TRUE HARVEST SEEDS IS A PLANT CONSERVATION CHARITY

At True Harvest Seeds we collect seeds from native origin plants growing in the wild. We preserve the collections in the Seed Bank at Kilclief, County Down. The seed is available for the restoration of plants back into the wild.

A gene bank for Ireland’s wild plants

Established as a charity, so that the collections stay in the public domain, True Harvest Seeds is conserving Ireland’s indigenous seed-bearing plants by securely storing their seeds. Through the generous donations of seeds from local public and private landowners we are populating a seed bank. The seeds and associated material are cared for at our Seed Centre, Kilclief, Co Down. Associated material includes a herbarium specimen, a DNA sample photographs of plant and seed and last but by no means least data, without which the collection would be of little value.
This work will ensure the security of our natural capital into the future. Seed and access to material and data may be requested by bona fide individuals and organisations.

Our planned expeditions to make the high quality scientific seed collections take us the length and breadth of the island. We talk to local people, land owners and managers to find out as much as possible about target populations and if there is any doubt about their origin we choose a different population to make a collection from.

SeaSquared

Uisce

We’re Cillian and Colm, the SeaSquared duo. Born in the same year, in the same hospital, on the same day, this friendship goes way back. March 2020 put a halt to our busy lives in London and Dublin. Remote working brought us back home to West Cork. Here, our eyes were opened, we saw West Cork in a way we had never seen before. The rugged landscape, the intricate coastline, bays, inlets, harbours. The roar of the surf and the beauty, how had it taken us so long to appreciate the surroundings in which we grew up? And an even bigger question that got us talking, how are we going to play our part to protect this beauty, this planet?

A combination of passion for design & a love for clothing led us on this exciting adventure.

Our vision is not only to build a sustainable clothing brand but to build a community focused around sustainable living. From areas such as cleaning the ocean plastic, to reducing packaging waste, we want to play our part in improving the world we live in and have fun whilst doing it.

Join us today to make a change, one square at a time!

Our products are made in small batches from 100%  organic, vegan materials and embroidered here in West Cork. You can rest assured that we take full responsibility for your product and aim to be fully transparent in our design and production processes.

I am a therapist who works and lives in west Cork Ireland. I have been working in the healing arts for many years offering Hawaiian bodywork, Shamanic Healing and various Energy therapies. I offer Cacao and breathwork Circles to women. My intention is always to work within a sacred space and create that for each client to allow a deep exploration into themselves and the reflections of themselves in the world that they are processing at any given moment.  My journey into Artwork is inspired by the reemergence of the wisdom teachings of the Divine feminine and the healing of this aspect within ourselves and on a planetary level. Connecting with the Divine feminine energy each painting holds a different aspect of her mystery magic and guidance in close relation to the elements and nature.

I never know what is going to come through and as a result I have developed a  skill of deep listening and patience allowing it to communicate its message. I set an intention and connect to the Canvas through chant or meditation feeling my way.  It brings up the usual frustrations when I get blocked or don’t know what comes next but learning to trust and go with the flow results in a finished piece. Each has its own message and Wisdom teachings. As my art teacher thought me I always set the intention that my art is medicine for me first, and also healing for anyone who observes and feels into it, receiving their own message. I see these goddesses in my journey work and work with them to bridge the gap between ordinary and non ordinary reality.

It is my hope that they also create this communication with others who choose to work with them in this way or simply be held by their energy allowing the remembrance of their teachings to illuminate the way.

Our Land

My name is Alasdair McBroom and I’m from the east coast of Northern Ireland. I’ve been taking pictures since the age of fourteen and working as a professional image maker since the age of eighteen. During that time I have worked across pretty much every discipline within lens oriented media and won awards for photography and cinematography.

The recurring theme has always been the same – simplicity within the frame. No matter where I am in life I always come back to photography as a place to centre myself. It is both challenging and calming at the same time. But one thing remains. I am always drawn by the grace of the natural environment.

The Irish Gardener

Tallamh

Peter Dowdall

All my life I have been interested in and worked in gardens, gardening, landscaping and garden design in Ireland and the UK.

I present on RTE and TV3 television and on radio in Ireland and I am also the Garden Design and Gardening columnist for the Irish Examiner newspaper along with being a regular Features writer for The Irish Garden magazine.

I am passionate about gardens, gardening, landscaping and plants and I have hopefully managed to share my enthusiasm with many others and helped a few budding gardeners along the way.

I fervently believe that the garden offers us the solutions to nearly all of our modern day problems:

  • Our mental health benefits from just being outside in the Great Outdoors.
  • Our physical health is improved by the aerobic workout which a day gardening will provide and also by eating the fresh organic produce from the garden.
  • And the garden has  critical roles to play in counteracting the effects of climate change and slowing the rate of species extinction

I often recommend environmentally sound, sustainable and organic gardening products and plants in the media and am then faced with a slew of questions regarding where can people get them and this is what prompted me to set up this store.

Here, I can offer for sale plants and products which I like to use in my own garden and in gardens of clients for whom I am working. These are what you’ll find in my garden shed so to speak.

I don’t have a garden centre or retail business as such, and this is a new departure for me so please bear with me if we run into any teething problems.

In the real world I work as a garden designer and consultant:

Any garden project needs to start with a good garden design, and for that design to be properly implemented, the correct landscaper needs to be identified and the entire project managed so that the garden design becomes the landscape creation which is envisioned.

With my designs I aim to create aesthetically beautiful, usable, practical outdoor spaces. Each client and each home or business will always have a style of their own and I like to design gardens which compliment that style be that a contemporary garden design or something more traditional in style.

Maintaining and enhancing biodiversity is one of the challenges facing everyone at the moment and I feel responsible for creating gardens which will do just that.
