Danu’s Irish Herb Garden

Eolas Ársa

Danu’s Irish Herb Garden is a Garden of Healing, Magic, Plant Wisdom and practical living.  Here I work to create a beautiful garden dedicated to the Goddess Danu.  I grow healing herbs, trees, shrubs, flowers, fruits and vegetables organically and attempt to provide for myself and others.

I am a Herbalist, growing and foraging for the plant medicine  that I use to make tinctures, teas, salves and lotions and potions. I only use plants that I have grown or foraged myself so that I know exactly where the medicine comes from.  I believe that plant medicine is a radical way to personal empowerment and health on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.  Working with plants also enables us to connect closely to the Planet, our Mother Earth, en route to good health.

Perhaps you are feeling out of balance or out of sync with the world; you know you need something but you can’t put your finger on it?   You may need stress reliefself-confidence boosts or help with grief. Perhaps you would like to reconnect with the Earth, with Nature? You feel that somehow there should be more to life. Maybe you are suffering with digestive issues such as bloatingacid reflux  or food sensitivities. Do you have sleep issuespain or inflammation, for example arthritis? I can also help with hormonal imbalanceslearning difficulties and many other physical, mental or emotional complaints.

Do get in touch  – I am so looking forward to meeting you and helping you to enjoy radiant health and well-being! I’m here to help you take a first step to feeling truly wonderful, truly connected and truly balanced.

Wolf Academy

Eolas Ársa

Hi we’re Cormac and Daryl Noonan.

We’re two brothers originally from Navan who both went down very different paths in life after leaving secondary school. We came together to share our stories so that young people don’t make the same mistakes we did. We want to prepare young people for life, not just exams.

We decided to set up Wolf Academy to inspire and empower young people to live happier and healthier lives, become their true selves and achieve their ultimate vision.

We do this through our talks, workshops and online courses. We also aim to build an academy where young people can come after finishing school to discover who they are and what they want to do in the world.

Run to Plant Trees

Crainn

COMPLETED: 232 KM RAN AND 586 NATIVE AND INDIGENOUS IRISH TREES PLANTED WITH HOMETREE CHARITY

Run to Plant Trees is a cause and a call for climate action created by Baiba Šustere, yoga and meditation teacher, an avid runner and nature lover, who is based in Galway, Ireland.

Run to Plant Trees was a year-long fundraiser during which Baiba ran 2 half marathons, 3 marathons and 1 ultra marathon, altogether 232 km. The aim was to raise funds to plant native and indigenous Irish trees on the West Coast of Ireland with Hometree Charity. Baiba also created a platform which informs about the importance of trees, forests and biodiversity, and how it relates to local communities and climate crises. To achieve it Baiba not only ran 6 races along the West Coast of Ireland, but also organised fundraising events accessible to everyone in community. Run to Plant Trees created a platform to talk about current climate crises, importance of individual and systematic changes, about the beauty of our nature, and how important it is to respect and preserve it.

With Run to Plant Trees Baiba hopes that she brought this attitude of encouragement, strength and persistence into action, and encouraged each of you to do something you thought you will never achieve.

You are a part of nature. Stay kind, run and plant some trees.

Celestial Aquatics

Uisce

Celestial Aquatics is a collaboration between Ruth Le Gear and Graham Reid.

I make essences from water. I have collected icebergs in the Arctic from a tall ship, wandered the desert of New Mexico and stood on the tip of the Cape of Good Hope. In these places and where ever I am, my intention is always to try to communicate with the water that is there, this most beautiful life-giving force of nature. Each body of water is totally unique. It has it’s own physical and spiritual history, it’s own mineral content, and it’s own unique vibration that it imparts on living beings that it encounters. If you’ve ever had a drink from a crystal clear mountain stream, and one from an ancient well or a swim in the sea, you will know that all water is not the same.

I am an artist and a healer and my life’s work is to understand and communicate with water. I love it in all its layers, the tiny micro-organisms that live in one drop, the huge oceans and ocean creatures, lakes. rivers, clouds, mist, rain, sleet, hale, icebergs, and glaciers. I live on the North West coast of Ireland and it rains here a lot, mostly pure North Atlantic water, swept up in the storms above Greenland and Iceland.

In my studio, I study the water samples that I’ve collected on my travels. And slowly, the essence of the water is unraveled.

When making an essence I take a small amount of the water, which holds all of its history and potential, and make the essence by taking a drop of the water and adding it to 100 drops of pure rainwater. It is how the energetics of the place can be felt, and come forth. Turning the water into an essence makes it capable of treating the emotional, mental physical, and spiritual levels. I have chosen to do it this way not only for its energetic properties but also because the Earth’s water and natural environment are so precious.

Then my partner, glassblower Graham Reid blows a glass vessel to hold the water essence which is sealed inside the glass, so they can be worn as wearable waters. Graham Reid grew up in South Africa. He studied architecture at Massachusetts College of Art, he took glassblowing as an elective and subsequently switched to sculptural glass. After returning to his ancestral roots in Ireland, he designed and built Knockbeg Glass Studios where he taught and blew glass under the name Glóine Eíreann. He has a flameworking and metal studio at home in Sligo. His sculptural work is primarily concerned with expressing and manifesting the universal forces that surround us but are often invisible.

Danu Skincare

Eolas Ársa

My name is Sarah and I’m the founder of Danu Skincare, I’m based in County Kerry and surrounded by wild coastlines, wildlife, and flora.  I create products that are inspired by Irish plants and flowers, tapping into their healing and health properties. I use plants and flowers such as Comfrey and Gorse Flower, a mini revival of ancient Irish traditions and recognition of the power of mother nature.

I love Irish mythology, the name of my business was inspired by Danu; the most ancient of the Celtic gods, mother of the earth, wind, and all Celtic people. I like to think that we all have a little of Danu flowing in our veins!

I use locally sourced ingredients as much as possible, my packaging is recyclable and I only ship within Ireland 😊 I am a great believer in the shop local principle. Every time I create a new product sustainability is always forefront of mind.

The Daily Adventurer

Tallamh

The Daily Adventurer was born of a love of Nature and exploring the great outdoors, it’s benefits and beauty. In a year that has put limits on travel and conventional adventure, I wanted to flip the perception of what ‘Adventuring’ means. By creating and posting a weekly calendar of activities, the aim of this project is to get us all outside and doing something different everyday to benefit our heads and hearts. These little adventures act as daily prompts to get us exploring the worlds we live in. There is adventure in everything and it is up to us to find it!

Sugarloaf Botanics

Eolas Ársa

I’m Laura, a nurse and a mammy of two beautiful boys, and I’m lucky enough to call the Great Sugarloaf in Wicklow my home.
I love growing plants more than anything, and over the past few years have learned how to incorporate both local and cultivated plants and herbs into organic skin and body care to support us through the seasons.

I grow, harvest, dry and infuse these plants into the oils that make these delicate and soothing products from my home here in Wicklow.  Everything is made in small batches, with a whole lot of care and attention and all our packaging is recyclable or biodegradable. All our ingredients are organic where at all possible and I am always looking to work with ethical and local suppliers.
